How to create a shortcut to FTP on Desktop

In Windows 7, Vista and XP follow these steps:

1. Start –> Documents

2. Click on “Tools” menu option.

3.  Tools –> Map Network Drive

4. Click on “Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures.”.  Windows XP users will see a different message but serves the same purpose.

5. Follow the Wizard and enter your network address “ftp://ftp.trpoint.com”

6. Un check “Log on anonymously” and input your User Name.

7. Give the name for this item “FTP Trpoint”.

8. Click on Finish, leaving “Open this network location when I click Finish” checked.

If all the above steps are correctly followed you will be logged into your FTP account correctly.  Your FTP is created under “Network Places” (in XP) or “Computer” (in Vista/7).

9. Drag the folder from the location onto the desktop.
